What is Manicure?
Manicure
A manicure is a cosmetic beauty treatment for the fingernails and hands. A manicure can treat just the hands, just the nails, or both. A standard manicure usually includes filing and shaping of the nails and the application of polish.As part of the manicure, treatments for hands usually include soaking in a softening substance and application of hand lotion. The word "manicure" comes from the Latin manus, meaning "hand," and cura meaning "care".

Manicures began 5000 years ago. In India, henna was used for manicure. The term mehendi, used synonymously for henna, derives from the Sanskrit mehandika. Much of the modern revival of henna derives from its popularity in India. Cixi, the Dowager Empress of China, was known to keep very long naturally-grown nails. French manicures are manicures designed to resemble a natural nail, and are characterized by natural pink base nails with white tips. The tips of the nail are painted white while the rest of the nail is polished in a pink or a suitable nude shade. French manicures may have originated in 18th-century Paris and were popular in the 1920s and 1930s.The style is chosen because it is very simple and give nails a natural and clean look

Do yo know what is the Manicure and it's origin...
The art of manicure has a very ancient provenance. In Egypt, in 1964, was found the Father Niankhanum and Khnumhetep's tomb. These persons were on the Pharaoh's suite list, as the "custodians and masters of the Pharaoh's nails." In translation into modern language, they were the court's masters of manicure. In the Ancient Egypt, the various colors of paint on nails was as a "class code." Vivid rich tone indicated the belonging to the royal family, pointed to a high public position, slaves could only have the fingernails painted with pale pastel shades. Cleopatra was painting her fingernails long in the ancient time in terracotta color with the use of common henna. Henna was the most popular means of painting nails throughout the Middle Ages.The passion for longer fingernails is tracing from a variety of cultures long ago. And, the longer fingernails, the higher state in society occupy their carriers. If it was not possible to grow long natural nails, they used special augments that extended the nails for a few centimeters.
By the '50s years of the XXth century, the nail service has become an important part of the beauty industry. Everyone wanted to have beautiful long nails. So I am one of them.
Nail designing is the latest crazy among girls at the moment. You can make your nails look absolutely fabulous and freaky with the use of nail designing techniques (Like Yamumi and Jolin). These days girls like to have nice nails not anymore because of simply it is a part of the health care. Nicely manicured fingers will always look more attractive! Manicured fingers will not only look stylish, but they also reflect your sense of personal hygiene. ;)
I love to have beautiful nails because it bring up my confidence, simply I like it like I love to look good with my nails done! Wherever I go, people admires my fabulous nails and it makes me feel good. ;)

Nail art is in style recent years and pretty much anything goes. If you want flowers painted on your nails or if you prefer some kind of bling bling design then that is what you should get. Just having a design painted on your nail makes you part of the "in" crowd and everyone will admire your beautiful nails!
